Flemish Chicory Gratin

White chicory

2 slices
Gouda cheese

  1. Preheat the grill for 3 minutes over medium heat.
  2. Pour 1/2 cup (100 ml) of water into the ridge surrounding the grill.
  3. Cut white chicory in half and season. Put cut-side down first on the grill, cover and cook about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove the cooked chicory from heat and set aside.
  5. Wrap the chicory with ham, then cover them with cheese, and place them into the grill.
  6. Cook for  2 minutes.
